In the months of planning before this trip the one thing that I had hoped for in this location was enough water. With previous years, the drought has caused a lot of the rainforest areas to be dryer than usual with less flow in the rivers. The week before we arrived here the area had received a large amount of rainfall, lucky for us as the rivers and streams were alive and rushing once more.
Looking around whilst taking this photograph it was possible to see just how alive and well the area is. Freshwater Crayfish were not an uncommon sight, once again re-iterating the purity of the water here.
