I had been facing the other way on this dawn at Lake Eyre, looking away from the moon at where the sun was rising. The lake was full of water and I couldn't believe my eyes. I had wondered for years if I would ever photograph this natural expanse with so much water in it and this was the special day that I would.
I kept a close eye on what was gong on behind me, at a certain point in time I knew I would need to turn around and capture the moon with these great reflections and salt crust sitting below the surface of the crystal clear water. That point came and I quietly moved as to not disturb the waters surface too much.
