Pats Lookout, Katherine Gorge, Northern Territory, Australia
'Aftermath' | Unique ID - PKP404
I rose early on this day in the Katherine Gorge caravan park. It had been hot and very humid for out time here and I decided that an early morning walk might allow me to get out of the heat. I was wrong. It was still around 32 degrees at 3:30am but the hike up to Pat's Lookout was worth every step. I arrived roughly half an hour before dawn and there proceeded to stand here in heavy rain for about half an hour.
An hour later, I persisted and watched as the sun broke through the thick moody cloud, I was in my element.
