With the pounding surf on this fresh Autumn morning I decided to seek refuge in the sand dunes here at Durras Beach. I was standing right next to the Durras Lake mouth watching it drain into the ocean at great speed. I watched this scene, the lake being open has transformed the surrounding area with life. The sea birds, and the fish that they are chasing, were in abundance.
The light on this particular morning was so good, it seemed to glow with such intensity just before the sun rose. I opted to capture a portrait photograph that was simple, just enough to show the light and the untouched sand dune.
