Hammersley Inlet, Fiztgerald River NP, Western Australia
'Mirror' | Unique ID - PKP214
I was once again racing against time to capture this photograph of Hammersley Inlet. I rose early but the drive up here took longer than expected. I had been here the afternoon before and could see the possible potential but nothing had prepared me for the light show on this morning, it was amazing.
What I forgot in the turmoil of this morning was that a few days before, I had managed to get my light metering film SLR wet and it was not working. I was looking at the prospect of shooting blind. I then remembered that in another camera bag that I had been lent, I did have another, older light meter that I had little idea how to use. I can remember thinking for the rest of the trip that I may have missed an incredible sunrise.
