Beachport, South Australia
'Lifeline' | Unique ID - PKP83
Lifeline Beachport, South Australia

When I captured this photograph I was not exactly sure what the trolley in the foreground was for, it seemed to be well used yet rusty and aged and added a great third dimension. After capturing my shots I spoke to a local about the area and she proceeded to inform me that this is one of the main areas for Crayfish along this coastline and that the trolley is used to cart Crayfish boxes and gear up and down the jetty. As I was speaking to this local I looked up and the trolley was gone, somebody had taken it further out on the wharf, loaded with gear. Feeling lucky that I had captured my shots in time I was well informed of the dramatic change that this area has seen, particularly in the last couple of years.
