Photography trips over the last couple of years have taken me to the sensational Central Coast of New South Wales many times. One of many features that I enjoy photographing is the rugged headlands in rough swirling surf with high cliffs in the background. I had never visited Swansea Heads before this trip. It is literally twenty minutes from where I stay and I was immediately drawn to the immense detail in the rocks in the foreground of this photograph.
It was low tide when I captured this photograph at dawn. The evening before I had visited this same spot but was unable to even walk out onto the headland, the sea was too rough and this area was covered in water.
