Behind me the Bredbo and Murrumbidgee rivers meet, forming as one. I had visited this location a number of times and knew that in the height of Autumn, when the Poplars are dressed with impressive colour, and with the right morning this shot would work. I had not factored thick mist into the photograph and was very surprised when I viewed this scene in such impressive soft light. This was one of those days when the fog does not lift until after lunch. One of those Autumn days when it is cold and still and almost surreal until about an hour before sunset when the fog finally lifts and some sun can be enjoyed fleetingly. The season is changing and soon Winter will be upon us.
