On returning from a day hike on the Main Range, I watched as the sky lit up at sunset and knew that this location might hold a photograph. Early in the season the area was in perfect condition. There was enough snow to blanket the ground and, as it melted, the flow of the rivers increases showing beautiful flowing cascades. I could not stand deep in the river for this photograph as I had intended, the water was moving far to quickly to allow my camera to stay still enough.
The light seemed to fade so quickly and in a matter of minutes I was heading back to the car. This was a very rewarding end to the day, these mountains seem to have so much to offer around every corner.
