Liffey Falls, Tasmania, Australia
There are so many waterfall opportunities in Tasmania, sometimes it is hard to decide which to visit when the weather is conducive. As we arrived in Tasmania for this trip of around six weeks in 2018, I can remember driving off the boat i the early morning and as we pulled up to do some grocery shopping it started to rain. It didn't really stop raining properly for possibly five weeks.
This put somewhat of a downside to the trip after a while but heavy rain and overcast conditions are my favourite when I have the chance to capture the rainforest. We stayed in the north for several days after arriving, and a trip to Liffey Falls became a top priority with the wet weather.
It was so wet here, the place was alive with running water. I stood here for over an hour in driving rain, waiting for a break. It eventually happened and I was able to work away to the sound of the thundering waterfall.
